Ezo Café brings a taste of Turkey to Newbury with its diverse menu and family-friendly atmosphere
Newbury: A new family-run Turkish café has just opened up in the heart of town. Ezo Café, located at 1 Bartholomew Street, welcomed its first customers on Saturday, January 4, and it was buzzing with activity.
The café aims to be the go-to spot for breakfast and lunch, serving up a variety of delicious Turkish dishes. They’re open from 8 am to 8 pm, so there’s plenty of time to pop in.
On the menu, you’ll find tasty breakfast options and classic Turkish dishes like pide, which is a baked flatbread filled with all sorts of goodies, and kofte, which are spiced meat dumplings. Yum!
They also have fresh coffee available for those who want to sit down or grab a cup to go, plus some delightful Turkish sweets to satisfy your cravings.
The café is owned by Mehmet Ertürk, who also runs a barbershop nearby. He’s teamed up with his brother and wife, both of whom have experience in Turkish restaurants in London, to make this venture a success.
It’s a real family affair, with several of Mehmet’s relatives working at Ezo. The café is even named after his son, which adds a nice personal touch.
