A wedding fayre in Wick and Thurso aims to raise funds for local groups while showcasing local wedding suppliers
Wick: A new wedding fayre is coming up for couples in the far north. It’s happening in Wick and Thurso, and it’s all about raising money for local groups.
The North Coast Wedding Fayre is set to showcase wedding suppliers from Caithness and Sutherland. It’s a great chance for couples to meet local vendors.
One event will be in Wick on Sunday, January 19, at the Assembly Rooms, while the Thurso event is on Sunday, March 2, at the Royal British Legion Scotland.
Graham Sinclair, who runs Dynamic Sounds mobile disco, is organizing it. He mentioned that there haven’t been many wedding fayres in the north since before Covid. He wants to give brides, grooms, and families a chance to see all the amazing local suppliers.
Having two fayres means couples won’t have to travel far. They can find everything they need right in their own backyard, without even crossing the county.
Plus, the events are free to enter! The money raised will go to two local groups: Thurso Sea Cadets and The Edge dance company competition team. Both groups will have tables at the fayres.
Graham said they’ve had a good number of suppliers signing up, but if anyone else wants to join in, they can reach out to him via email or through their Facebook page.
Both fayres will run from 11am to 3pm on their respective days. It’s a fantastic opportunity for couples to plan their big day while supporting local causes!
