Woking: So, it turns out that Urfan Sharif, the father of Sara Sharif, got attacked in prison. This happened at HMP Belmarsh on New Year’s Day. Can you believe it?

Reports say he was ambushed by two other inmates who had a jagged tuna can lid. Ouch! Thankfully, he didn’t need to go to the hospital, but still, that’s pretty wild.

A spokesperson from the Prison Service mentioned that the police are looking into the whole situation. They said it wouldn’t be right to say much more while the investigation is ongoing.

Now, just to remind you, Urfan and Sara’s stepmother, Beinash Batool, were sentenced to life in prison for the horrific abuse that led to Sara’s tragic death. It’s just heartbreaking.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Sara suffered unimaginable pain and torture at home. The judge really laid it out, saying her treatment was despicable and happened right in front of the family.

Urfan got a minimum of 40 years, while Batool received 33 years. Sara’s uncle, Faisal Malik, also got 16 years for his part in this awful situation.

The judge made it clear that Sara was a brave child who stood up for herself, and it’s just so sad to think about what she went through.
