CalMac has announced changes to ferry services, redirecting sailings from Ardrossan to Troon due to operational adjustments.
Ardrossan: So, CalMac just dropped some news about ferry services. The 1.55pm sailing of the MV Isle of Arran from Brodick is now heading to Troon Harbour instead. They’ve got a new timetable for the rest of the day too.
And get this, Saturday’s 7am sailing from Ardrossan to Arran? Yep, that’s also being diverted to Troon, leaving at 6.40am instead. Quite the shake-up!
Here’s the new schedule for today: Departing Brodick at 1.55pm, arriving in Troon at 3.15pm. Then it leaves Troon at 3.45pm and gets back to Brodick by 5.05pm. There’s another sailing at 5.35pm too.
CalMac mentioned that a few sailings from Ardrossan are cancelled, including the 3.20pm and 6pm departures. They’re also cancelling the 4.40pm and 7.20pm sailings from Brodick.
But don’t worry, they’ve arranged a bus to leave Ardrossan for Troon at 2.45pm. Plus, there will be buses waiting for all arrivals into Troon.
Oh, and all MV Alfred sailings are still on schedule. They’ll be leaving Brodick at 2.35pm and 6.15pm, and departing Troon at 4.25pm.
Looking ahead to Saturday, January 11, the 7am sailing from Ardrossan will now leave Troon at 6.40am and reach Brodick by 8am. Normal service kicks back in with the 8.20am sailing from Brodick.
They’ve also got a bus set to leave Ardrossan for Troon at 5.40am. Keep an eye out for more updates!
