Liverpool: The first tenants have finally moved into the newly revamped Liverpool Arms, which is now called the Lonan Arms. It’s great to see this place buzzing again!

This pub used to be a favorite spot but had a rough patch and closed down in 2017. It sat empty for years, looking pretty sad until Stewart Clague Services swooped in and bought it last year.

They wasted no time getting to work. Located along the A2 coastal road, the owners quickly refurbished the building, giving it a fresh start.

Now, the historic pub has both commercial and residential spaces ready for action. The first tenant has moved into the upstairs apartment, and locals are thrilled about the new name, the Lonan Arms.

They’re still on the lookout for someone to take over the commercial space downstairs, which could be a pub, restaurant, café, or shop. Lots of possibilities!

A spokesperson from SCS mentioned that the building has been renamed to reflect its new life, and they’re excited about the upstairs living space being rented out.

They’re also showing the downstairs area this month, hoping to find a new business to fill it. With some planning, it could be a lively spot again.

Stewart Clague Services confirmed they bought the building in October and had plans to modernize it while keeping its historical charm intact.

The upstairs has been turned into a cozy two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and an open-plan lounge. Plus, there’s off-street parking, which is a bonus!

They’ve managed to keep all the original features, like the beautiful architectural mouldings and even the old stables at the back.

The whole place has been revamped, getting rid of any signs of rot from the years it was closed off. It’s now up to modern standards with new plumbing, electrical, and heating systems.

Thanks to a solid partnership with Heron and Brearley, the renovations kicked off quickly, even while the paperwork was being sorted out.

Originally, Heron and Brearley thought about selling the property with a clause that it couldn’t be a pub again. But local objections opened the door for hospitality use, so here we are!
