Buenos Aires: So, it turns out that one of Liam Payne’s close pals is in some serious trouble. Five people have been charged in connection with his death, which happened in October.

Liam, who was just 31, fell from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room at CasaSur Palermo. It’s such a sad story. His friend, Rogelio Nores, who called Liam a “very dear friend,” claims he left the hotel about 40 minutes before the incident. He’s saying he had nothing to do with it.

According to reports, Nores is one of three people charged with manslaughter. The hotel’s chief receptionist and head of security are also in the mix. They’re not in jail but can’t leave Argentina for now.

Then there’s Braian Paiz, a waiter who admitted to partying with Liam and using drugs. He’s been charged with supplying narcotics. Another hotel employee is also facing similar charges. Paiz has been on local TV saying he didn’t give Liam any drugs or take money from him.

Things got really serious when emergency services were called about an “aggressive man” who might have been under the influence. Sadly, toxicology reports showed Liam had multiple substances in his system when he passed away.

Liam’s funeral was held on November 20, and it was attended by his One Direction bandmates and family. He leaves behind his son, Bear, who’s just seven years old. It’s a heartbreaking situation all around.
