A five-year-old boy is missing after his grandmother allegedly kidnapped him during a custody dispute in Florida, prompting an amber alert.
Tavares: So, there’s a pretty wild situation going on in Lake County, Florida. A five-year-old boy named Jace Saunders has gone missing after his grandma, Kelly Day-Dasilva, allegedly kidnapped him. This all kicked off with an amber alert on Sunday afternoon.
Jace was last spotted around 1:20 p.m. on Wells Avenue, near Summerall Park. Now, the authorities are on the hunt for his grandma, who’s 50 years old and has a warrant out for her arrest for kidnapping and messing with child custody.
They think she might be driving a black Honda Accord. It’s a bit concerning, especially since Jace’s parents were also arrested that same day for interfering with child custody. Talk about a messy situation!
Jace was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black shirt with a colorful graphic and dark pajama pants. He’s semi-verbal and has autism, which makes this whole thing even more urgent. Let’s hope he’s found safe and sound soon.
