Four individuals face charges following a suspected robbery attempt in Gillingham, leading to injuries and a police chase.
Gillingham: So, there was this wild incident the other night. Two folks ended up in the hospital with head injuries after a suspected robbery attempt. It all kicked off with a high-speed police chase, which is pretty intense.
It started when the police got calls about some intruders trying to break into a house on Balmoral Road. This happened around 9 PM on Thursday. When the officers showed up, they found two people hurt and needing medical attention.
After that, the chase began. The suspects were in a Ford Focus, and they sped off towards Lewisham, ignoring the police’s attempts to pull them over. Eventually, they crashed into a barrier and took off on foot.
Thanks to a police helicopter and some patrols, they were tracked down and arrested. The suspects include Mustafa Rahim, Tajsharn Cummings, John Smith, and Deniqko Benton. They were all charged with robbery, and some faced additional charges like dangerous driving and possession of cannabis.
They appeared in court on January 4 and are set for another hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on February 3. Quite the turn of events, right?
