A heated dispute arises as a man faces complaints over his legally parked van
City: The incident took place in a neighborhood where tensions are running high. A guy was pretty taken aback when he found a passive-aggressive note on his van, even though he was parked legally.
He shared a pic of the note online, mentioning it was the third time a neighbor had complained about his vehicle. Can you believe that?
On TikTok, he explained that while his van might not be the most attractive, he wasn’t trying to bother anyone. He said, “New year, same issues.”
He added, “I get it, it may not look the prettiest outside your house, but I just park where I can.”
The note he found read, “Please may you move the van outside our house. We have really struggled over Christmas, we have a large amount of guests over Saturday night and really need the space.”
His post blew up, getting over 1,000 comments and half a million views. Many folks sided with the neighbor, suggesting he find another spot.
One user commented, “It is a very polite notice, and it looks like they are only asking for it to be parked elsewhere for one night.”
Another chimed in, “Why can’t you park in front of your own house like they suggest?”
The driver responded, “Because there was no space outside, already repeated that multiple times.”
Others defended him, saying he was in the right since he was parked legally. One person even suggested he start leaving notes on cars parked in front of his house.
Another added, “Don’t move it. You’re legally allowed to park as long as you’re not obstructive.”
