Glasgow: Emergency services rushed to the scene early this morning after reports of an assault. A man and a woman were injured, and it was just after 1am when help arrived.

The injured pair, aged 48 and 49, were taken to the hospital for serious injuries. A 76-year-old man was also involved and received treatment.

Police Scotland has since announced that a man has been arrested in connection with the assault. Earlier, a 48-year-old man was also arrested for robbery.

The main road is still closed between Bunhouse Road and Sauchiehall Street as officers continue their investigation. Forensics were spotted at the scene, gathering evidence.
