Education Scotland and the Care Inspectorate gave positive feedback. They highlighted strong leadership, a secure environment, and dedicated staff.
The center on George Road got a “good” rating in four areas they checked. These areas include leadership and children’s progress. They also looked at wellbeing and teaching.
Inspectors liked the warm place the staff made, saying children feel secure there. Staff built good relationships. They connect with kids and parents.
Staff helps kids manage feelings, which helps them behave well. Teamwork among staff stood out as a strength. The manager and team care about each child, and they work with dedication.
Kids can play inside and outside. They have a mud kitchen outdoors. In 2022, the center moved to a new building, and it now offers full-day care. Before, it was only after-school care.
The kids have a bigger play area. Inspectors visited in November and suggested some improvements.
The center needs better ways to check its work and should watch service and medicine processes. They should also check plans for school-aged kids. The facility should improve play resources and get more and better toys for older kids.
A council person said they partner with the center. They were happy with the “good” ratings, and the report noted the team’s dedication. They will work on the suggested improvements and want to support the kids and staff.
