Richmond: Guests at the Tan Hill Inn, the highest pub in the UK, were stuck there since Saturday. But good news! They were rescued on Tuesday.

Two farmers came to the rescue, leading everyone to safety in snowploughs along a winding road. It was quite the adventure!

While 23 guests were finally on their way home, four decided to stay behind. They figured it was safer to wait it out with the pub staff.

The pub owner, Andrew Hields, got the call that everyone made it out okay. He mentioned the route was still tricky, so staff would head home once it was safe.

The Tan Hill Inn sits at 1,732 feet above sea level, and it was a wild few days for everyone stuck there. They even thought about calling a helicopter for help!

Manager Nicole Hayes joked about running low on sausages and how the Australian guests polished off all the Malbec.

With temperatures dropping to minus 16C, it was definitely a chilly situation. The Met Office warned that it would be “bitterly cold” in northern England.
