Two drug line leaders were arrested after mocking police in a video, leading to a major crackdown on their gang’s operations in Worcestershire
Birmingham: So, there’s this wild story about some drug dealers who thought they were untouchable. They were caught on video laughing at the police, saying their business would never go down. But guess what? They got caught anyway!
The West Mercia Police did some serious digging and busted this gang that was moving drugs from Birmingham into south Worcestershire. The whole operation was led by two guys, Ameeth Mudhar and Syed Alom, who were pretty cocky about their drug lines.
It all started back in early 2020 when police got a tip-off about cocaine being sold in the area. They found out that the gang was sending out bulk messages to a ton of customers. Talk about a big operation!
As the investigation heated up, the police focused on the street dealers. They figured out that the info from their phones would be key to cracking the case. They even tried to stop a car with Alom and his right-hand man, Shakir Ali, inside.
Things got crazy when Ali refused to stop and rammed into a police car before speeding off. Alom even tossed out some cocaine from the window before ditching the car in a pub parking lot. Yikes!
Fast forward to December 2020, and Alom was arrested at his home. Mudhar, on the other hand, thought he could escape by fleeing to Dubai. But he came back in April 2021, thinking he was in the clear. Spoiler alert: he wasn’t.
In total, 16 members of this gang were convicted, racking up a whopping 96 years in prison. The police were pretty proud of themselves for taking down these criminals who were ruining lives in the community.
