A 36-year-old man from Hackney faces multiple rape charges after a teenage girl reported an assault in Derby
Derby: A man from East London is in some serious trouble. Sameh Elsayed, 36, has been charged with three counts of rape after a teenage girl reported a sexual assault on a footbridge in Derby. He was taken into custody and appeared in court on December 14.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. on November 15. The girl was allegedly attacked on the Rainbow Bridge, which crosses St Alkmund’s Way near the Leonardo Hotel. Police got involved after the public responded to a CCTV appeal.
According to the police, they received tips that led to Elsayed’s arrest. He’s now facing some heavy charges and has been remanded in prison until his next court date. It’s a serious situation, and the community is understandably shaken.
