Hadleigh’s Little Play Village has seen overwhelming success, attracting families and creating a vibrant community in just one month.
Hadleigh: Little Play Village opened its doors on London Road in mid-November. Holly Woodford started it after realizing there weren’t many parent-friendly play spots for kids.
The place is like a mini town! It has a vet clinic, post office, fire station, construction site, café, salon, and nursery. It’s super cute and perfect for kids to explore.
Holly, who’s 35, shared that they’ve been fully booked since day one. She said it’s been a whirlwind experience. “I thought it would be busy, but we’ve had families coming back five or six times already,” she said.
It’s great to see a little community forming. Everyone seems to love it! There’s even a tiny salon for kids to play in. Holly came up with the idea after struggling to find a good play venue for her daughter.
She’s been getting lots of positive feedback about how welcoming the staff are and how fun the space is for kids. Plus, it’s relaxing for parents, which was the goal all along.
“We haven’t had a single child who didn’t enjoy it,” Holly said. “When it’s time to leave, we often have kids crying because they want to stay longer.”
To make leaving easier, they’ve started putting the toys to bed with the kids. How cute is that?
Holly’s husband, Rob, has been a great support. Before this, she worked a demanding office job in London. Now, she’s loving the change, even if it’s tiring.
“It’s busy, especially with birthday parties on weekends, but I really love it,” she said. “Coming from a boring office job, it’s amazing to enjoy what I do every day.”
Little Play Village is open Monday to Friday, with four play slots each day. You can even book it for exclusive use on Saturdays. If you want to visit, check out littleplayvillage.co.uk!
