Bristol gears up for an exciting Soap Box Derby, inviting teams to join the fun this September
Bristol: Get ready for some fun! A Soap Box Derby is coming to town this September, and it’s going to be a blast. Organizers are on the lookout for teams to join in on the excitement.
Picture this: teams in wild costumes racing down a hill in their homemade go-karts. It’s all about having a good time, not just who crosses the finish line first. This British version of the popular Red Bull Soap Box Derby is set to take place in Victoria Park.
The big day is Sunday, September 7. Expect a huge crowd as up to 40 teams compete in a series of races throughout the day, with the grand finale around 4 PM. It’s going to be a lively atmosphere!
While the exact course details are still under wraps, there will be an event village with entertainment and a big screen for everyone to enjoy. Teams can enter for a fee and raise money for their favorite charities. Over the past five years, Krazy Races has attracted a quarter of a million spectators and raised over £150,000 for local causes.
Bristol folks have always thought a Soap Box Derby would be perfect for their hilly city, and now it’s finally happening!

Alongside the races, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities, food stalls, and entertainment to keep everyone engaged. Tickets and team applications are already available, and it’s set up as a knockout competition with trophies and prizes up for grabs.
