Canterbury: So, it’s been a rough day for a lot of folks in Canterbury. Hundreds of homes are dealing with no water at all because the pipes have frozen up in this chilly weather.

Many residents woke up to find they either had no water or just a trickle coming out of the taps. It’s a real hassle, especially when you need to get things done at home.

The areas hit hardest include Querns Road, parts of Military Road, Spring Lane, Howe Green, and Royal Parade. It’s a pretty big deal, and people are understandably frustrated.

Cllr Connie Nolan, who represents the Barton ward, is really worried about the situation. She mentioned that some residents are in a tough spot without any water or with very low pressure.

She’s been in touch with South East Water to see how they can help those who might be vulnerable. They’ve advised people to call 0333 000 0365 to register for assistance and get bottled water if needed.

South East Water has said they’re sorry for not keeping everyone updated. They’re working hard to fix the issue but mentioned that the freezing weather is making it tricky for them to investigate.

They’re hoping to have things back to normal soon, but it’s tough to say exactly when. Fingers crossed they can sort it out quickly!
