This all kicked off after a tragic event where a lawyer named Andrea Vidal was shot in a taxi. She worked in Congress and sadly passed away from her injuries. The attack was brutal, with over 40 shots fired.
Now, the investigation is focusing on her former boss, Jorge Torres Saravia. He’s accused of running this ring that allegedly hired young women to sleep with lawmakers in exchange for votes. Of course, he’s denying everything.
People are really fed up with Congress and President Dina Boluarte, especially since trust in them has hit rock bottom. There’s a crime wave happening too, making everything feel even more chaotic.
Prosecutors claim that Vidal was hiring young women to work in Congress, but it seems like there was more to it. A lawmaker even said she was trying to get votes from the parliamentarians.
