The Inverness Castle Experience project has reached a significant milestone with the completion of its Energy Centre, according to Highland Council.
Inverness: Exciting news! The Inverness Castle is getting a major makeover. The project is moving along nicely, and they just hit a big milestone.
So, the engineers have wrapped up the Energy Centre, which is a big deal. This place will provide clean energy to the castle and the nearby Town House. It’s all about cutting down on carbon emissions, which is awesome.
They’re also working hard on the North Tower, and it should be done by late January. If everything goes smoothly, the whole experience should open up around mid-year.
When it opens, it’s expected to create about 90 jobs, which is fantastic for the local community. Jason Kelman, the project manager, shared some updates recently, and he sounded pretty optimistic.
He mentioned that they’re making great progress in the North Tower and that the new link building will house a restaurant and café. That’s the last piece before they start fitting everything out in March or April.
They’re also tackling some landscaping work outside, which is a big job. But it sounds like they’re on track, as long as the weather cooperates.
Oh, and the Energy Centre is up and running, which is a relief. They had some hiccups with water connections, but it looks like they’ve sorted that out now.
All in all, it’s a big step forward for the Inverness Castle Experience, and I can’t wait to see how it all turns out!
