SSEN continues to work on faulty traffic lights in Inverness, causing delays for drivers and pedestrians in the city centre.
They’ve been at it for two days now, trying to get everything back to normal. The crew is stationed at that busy junction between Ness Bridge and Castle Road/Bank Street.
Drivers were first alerted to the issue early Wednesday morning when the Highland Council started looking into it. It’s been a bit of a mess, and both motorists and pedestrians are being told to watch their step around the lights.
Traffic has been piling up on Ness Bridge because of the faulty signals. Last night, SSEN updated everyone, thanking folks for their patience while they sort things out.
They mentioned that the lights are out due to an underground cable fault and that they’re working hard to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. With winter weather making things trickier, they’re asking everyone to be extra careful while they’re on site.
