A house in Inverness, damaged by a suspicious fire, is set for auction at a new price of £30,000
The property, located at 48 Evan Barron Road, is in pretty rough shape. It’s missing a roof and has taken a beating from both fire and water damage. The fire broke out around 8:50 PM on December 20, and the police are still looking into what caused it, treating it as suspicious.
Auction House Scotland is gearing up for the auction in early February. They’ve dropped the price to £30,000 from £50,000, which is quite a deal considering the potential. They’re expecting a lot of interest, saying it’s a fantastic chance for someone looking to develop the property.
The house is unsafe to enter, so you can only check out the ground floor for now. Typically, similar homes have a lounge and kitchen downstairs, with three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. It’s going to need a lot of work, but once it’s fixed up, it could be worth over £140,000.
If you’re thinking about renting it out, the auction house estimates it could bring in more than £8,300 a year. They’re really excited about this one and suggest getting in touch early if you’re interested. For more details, check out their website.
