An innocent bystander was knocked unconscious and required stitches after being pushed to the ground in Inverness
On June 14, 2023, while running past, he pushed this guy right in the chest. The poor fellow fell and hit his head, knocking him out cold. He ended up bleeding pretty badly.
At the court, Sheriff Ian Cruickshank heard the whole story. Agnew admitted to assaulting the guy, which caused serious injury and left a scar. After the incident, he even helped the victim’s friend with first aid while waiting for the police.
The sheriff decided not to send Agnew to jail, which was a bit surprising. Instead, he has to do 180 hours of community service and pay the victim £2500. The fiscal depute mentioned that Agnew seemed really sorry for what he did.
When the police showed up, he was sitting there saying, “I did it.” The victim needed seven stitches and is still dealing with concussion symptoms. Agnew’s lawyer said he’s moving into IT and won’t be going back to Ukraine. He really regrets the whole thing, but thankfully, no serious injury was found in the end.
