Isle of Wight: Here’s a quick look at some cases from the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court for the week starting December 30, 2024.
Freya Jones, 36, from Rookley, got an eight-week prison term, but it’s suspended for a year because she didn’t follow her community order.
Then there’s Daniel Jeavons, 32, from Ryde. He didn’t stick to his suspended sentence for burglary. He was fined £40, had to pay £145 in costs, and got a 12-month community order with a 120-day alcohol ban and ten rehab days.
Esmee Hicks, 21, from Shanklin, faced drug driving charges. She ended up with an £80 fine, £85 in costs, and a year-long driving ban.
Joachim Kurek, 46, also from Rookley, was in the same boat with drug driving. He got a £251 fine, £85 in costs, and a 12-month driving disqualification.

Harry Rimell, 25, from Freshwater, was drunk and disorderly, getting a £40 fine and £85 in costs.
