JD Gyms has launched its latest 24-hour gym in Stockton, offering fresh equipment and a revamped space for fitness enthusiasts in the area
Stockton: Exciting news for fitness fans! JD Gyms just opened a brand new 24-hour gym in town. This is their ninth location in the region, and it’s right next to Tesco Extra on Durham Road.
The gym took over the old Xercise4Less building and opened its doors at the end of December. It’s the last of the Xercise4Less spots to be transformed since JD Gyms bought the company back in 2020.
A spokesperson mentioned that they’ve really put in the effort to revamp the place. They’ve changed the layout, updated the décor, and brought in all new equipment. It’s looking sharp!
This new gym is actually the second JD Gyms in Stockton, with the first one opening last summer on Yarm Road. The openings have also created over 40 new jobs in the community, which is fantastic.
Inside, you’ll find a mix of cardio and strength equipment, plus a special area for functional training. They’ve even got some top-notch gear from Eleiko and a variety of specialized machines.
Amelia Worrall, the chief operating officer, expressed pride in giving the old Xercise4Less members a fresh and refurbished space. She noted that Stockton-on-Tees has been a great spot for them, with positive feedback from both gyms.
And the best part? Both locations are open 24/7, so you can hit the gym whenever it suits you. Plus, they’re running a sweet early-bird offer where new members can snag their first month for just £5!
