Katy Barrow-Grint has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Constable, effective immediately
Gloucestershire: Katy Barrow-Grint is the new Deputy Chief Constable. She has been serving as Interim Deputy Chief Constable since November 2024. Now, she officially takes on the role after a recruitment process.
Before joining Gloucestershire, Katy worked with Thames Valley Police for over 20 years. She held various roles, including Response, CID, and Covert Policing. She also led the Oxfordshire Local Policing area.
As Assistant Chief Constable, she managed Crime, Intelligence, and Public Protection. Recently, she focused on tackling Violence Against Women and Girls. Katy has also researched domestic abuse.
Katy will start her new role right away. She expressed her admiration for her colleagues’ dedication to serving Gloucestershire. She looks forward to supporting the Force in addressing important community issues.
Temporary Chief Constable Maggie Blyth is thrilled with Katy’s appointment. She believes Katy’s experience will greatly benefit the Force and local communities.
