Kelyan Bokassa, 14, shared a chilling Instagram post before being fatally stabbed on a London bus, sparking an urgent police investigation.
London: A tragic incident unfolded when 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa was stabbed on a bus. Just an hour before, he posted a concerning message on Instagram.
People are leaving tributes at a bus stop in Woolwich, where Kelyan was attacked on a route 472 double-decker. Despite paramedics’ efforts, he sadly passed away shortly after the incident.
Witnesses reported seeing two boys fleeing the scene, one of whom had a large machete. Kelyan was known as an aspiring drill rapper, going by the name Grippa, and he was killed in an area notorious for gang activity.
His last Instagram post asked if anyone had a “mindy,” which is slang for a knife. He had recently released a track called ‘Bangers & Mash,’ where he made references to violence and gangs.
Kelyan’s death is particularly heartbreaking as it follows the murder of his friend Daejaun Campbell just three months earlier. Growing up without his father and having been in care, Kelyan faced many challenges.
He had just returned to school after the Christmas break and was on his way to meet social workers when the attack occurred. A local estate agent manager saw CCTV footage of the suspects running away, describing them as young and unmasked.
It’s shocking to think that they were seen calmly walking away after the attack, raising concerns about their identification. This incident has left the community in shock and mourning.
