A Kilwinning man has been sentenced to jail for vandalizing his ex-partner’s home and breaching bail conditions
Kilwinning: So, there’s this guy, Gary Gunion, who really crossed the line with his ex. He was making her life a nightmare last May, calling and texting her non-stop.
He even showed up at her place uninvited, throwing bricks at her windows and banging on her door. Not cool, right?
Fast forward to January 3, and he’s in court facing five charges, including breaching bail conditions. This guy just couldn’t take a hint.
Just two days after being told to stay away, he was found hiding in her wardrobe! Can you believe that? The police had to come and sort it out.
On July 22, he left his house during curfew hours, claiming he was checking on a sick friend. But when the cops showed up, he couldn’t even explain himself.
Then, on October 2, his ex asked him to leave because he was drunk, but he refused. She got worried and stayed at her parents’ place for the night.
An hour later, he was caught trying to break into her house again. Neighbors saw him kicking her door and trying to climb in through a window. What a mess!
When she got back, her place was damaged, and he was arrested. His excuse? “I was only chapping the door.” Seriously?
He pleaded guilty to all the charges, including causing damage and ignoring his bail conditions. His lawyer mentioned he has some alcohol issues but has done some community service.
In the end, the sheriff wasn’t having it. She revoked his community service order and sentenced him to 104 days in jail. Hopefully, he learns his lesson this time.
