King’s Worcester collaborates with Worcester Warriors Foundation to promote active lifestyles and support community initiatives
Worcester: King’s Worcester is teaming up with the Worcester Warriors Foundation to help folks lead healthier, more active lives. They’re really focused on making a difference in the community.
As part of this partnership, King’s has provided some cool, jointly branded kits for the foundation’s staff. They’re also creating safe spaces for activities like wheelchair rugby, which is awesome.
The school is working closely with the foundation to offer work placements for students. This gives them a chance to learn about helping people with complex needs and those who might feel isolated.
Recently, some members of the King’s School Council visited the foundation’s facilities on Severn Street. They got to join in on inclusive sports and see firsthand what the foundation is all about.
Carol Hart, the foundation’s CEO, expressed her excitement about the partnership. She mentioned how crucial it is to come together to support the community, especially for those facing daily challenges.
The foundation is dedicated to helping individuals who are isolated or disadvantaged, as well as those living with various disabilities. Their goal is to make physical activity accessible for everyone, no matter their ability, and to promote good mental health.
