Cornwall: So, picture this. It’s New Year’s Eve, and folks are out celebrating at the Chiverton Arms pub. Suddenly, two people stroll in wearing Ku Klux Klan costumes. Can you believe it? A pubgoer was totally taken aback and said it felt unreal.

This person thought maybe it was some kind of game character since others were dressed as Mario and other fun characters. But nope, those costumes were definitely not in the spirit of the night. It was a real shocker, and they felt pretty angry about it.

The pub landlord quickly stepped in when they found out. They told the person to take off the costume right away. The landlord mentioned they can’t control what everyone wears, but once they knew, they acted fast. Surprisingly, no one else seemed to complain that night.

Now, the KKK is a notorious hate group, and it’s been around since 1865. They’ve got a dark history of terrorizing people, especially black Americans. It’s just wild that someone thought that was okay for a fancy dress party.

While the KKK has been on the decline, it’s still shocking to see reminders of such a hateful past pop up in everyday life. It’s a reminder that we’ve still got a long way to go in understanding and respecting each other.
