A festive lights display in Linton has raised almost £2,900 for charity, supporting the Royal Papworth Hospital.
Linton: A stunning Christmas lights display at a home in Linton has brought in nearly £2,900 for charity. Jordan Cooper set up the lights at his house on Finchams Close, just a short drive from Haverhill.
This year, he raised £2,883 for the Norfolk Zipper Club, which helps fund equipment for the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. Jordan started this tradition back in 2020 to honor his grandad, Billy King, who passed away that year.
Billy had a heart transplant at Royal Papworth in 2004 and loved Christmas lights, which inspired Jordan to create this dazzling display with over 50,000 LEDs. “We smashed it this year,” Jordan said, feeling proud of the effort.
Even though they didn’t hit the £3,000 mark this time, Jordan is thankful for the support they received. “The Norfolk Zipper Club are so happy. It’s unreal,” he added. The lights will be switched on again for the 2025 display at 6pm on November 28.
