Travelers face disruptions on the London Underground with two lines suspended and several others experiencing delays this morning
London: This Sunday morning, the London Underground is in a bit of a mess. Two lines are suspended, and five others are facing closures. The Elizabeth and Jubilee lines are both affected.
For the Elizabeth line, there’s no service between Maidenhead and Reading until noon. They’ve set up a replacement bus service, W3, to help folks get between Maidenhead, Twyford, and Reading. Plus, there’s a reduced service running between Hayes & Harlington and Maidenhead, but it skips Iver and Taplow. Only two trains an hour are running to West Drayton, Langley, Slough, Burnham, and Maidenhead.
Things are also slow between Iver and Maidenhead because of some engineering work that ran late. The rest of the line is running smoothly, though.
On the Jubilee line, there’s no service between West Hampstead and Neasden while they sort out a faulty train at Willesden Green. The rest of the line has some minor delays.
Additionally, the Piccadilly and Waterloo & City lines are partially closed today. The London Overground is also seeing some part closures on the Windrush and Mildmay lines.
Minor delays are reported on the Northern line and the DLR as well.
