A recently recaptured lynx has died overnight, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding its death
Dr. Helen Senn, who heads conservation at RZSS, expressed her sadness over the situation. She mentioned that capturing these animals safely was a big effort, and it’s heartbreaking to lose one. The stress of being in a new and tough environment must have been a lot for the lynx to handle.
The good news is that the surviving lynx will be taken to Edinburgh for quarantine. This will be alongside two other lynx that were captured just a couple of days ago. Dr. Senn also thanked the local community for their incredible support during this challenging time. It’s nice to see everyone come together for these animals.
