Police Scotland responds to lynx sightings near Kingussie, urging public caution
Kingussie: So, there’s been a bit of a stir in Kingussie lately. Two lynx were spotted out in the wild, and it’s got the police on alert. They were seen around Drumguish at about 4:20 PM, and the police are asking folks to keep their distance.
They haven’t confirmed if these lynx escaped from the Highland Wildlife Park, which is just a stone’s throw away in Kincraig. But the park’s trained staff are on the case, helping the police track them down.
A spokesperson from Police Scotland mentioned that they got the heads-up about the lynx sightings and are taking precautions for both the animals and the public. They’re urging anyone who sees the lynx to call them instead of approaching. If you spot them, just ring 101 and mention the incident number they provided.
