A cyclist was seriously injured in Birmingham after being struck by a BMW, prompting a police investigation and an arrest.
Birmingham: A cyclist was hit by a silver BMW in a hit-and-run incident. This happened in Kings Heath on Friday evening, January 3.
The cyclist, in his 20s, got seriously hurt and was taken to the hospital. Sadly, he’s still in a serious condition. The crash occurred on Brandwood Park Road just before 9:25 PM.
West Midlands Police have arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. They’re still looking into the case since the BMW didn’t stop after the crash.
Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to reach out. They said, “Officers investigating after a cyclist was seriously injured when hit by a car in Birmingham have made an arrest.”
They added, “A cyclist was hit by a silver BMW which failed to stop at the scene. The cyclist remains in hospital in a serious condition.”
