Sadly, the former One Direction star died on October 16 after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel. Hotel staff, including the chief receptionist and head of security, are facing manslaughter charges along with Liam’s friend.

Two hotel employees are accused of selling him drugs. An autopsy revealed he died from multiple injuries and bleeding. They ruled out suicide since he was likely unconscious when he fell.

According to the head of the court, Liam was in a vulnerable state and shouldn’t have been left alone while intoxicated. There’s evidence he had a history of addiction and had been asking for drugs from hotel staff.

After being taken to his room, he tried to leave via the balcony. The judge mentioned that Liam was in a state where he couldn’t protect himself, which led to the tragic fall.

Forensic experts believe he lost consciousness while climbing over the railing. The judge emphasized that he should have been kept safe until help arrived.

They found alcohol, cocaine, and antidepressants in his system, indicating he was in a psychotic episode at the time of his fall.

Hotel staff reportedly used a master key to get him back to his room. One employee even called for help, worried about his safety. Liam’s body was found with a bag that wasn’t there when he was first moved.

A guest on the second floor found a bag with pills and a note for Liam on their balcony, suggesting it was part of his escape attempt.
