A man has been arrested after his family tragically died from poisoned rice during a New Year’s meal in Brazil
Parnaiba: So, there’s this really sad story coming out of Brazil. A 53-year-old guy named Francisco Pereira got arrested after his family died from eating rice laced with rat poison during a New Year’s dinner.
It all went down last week when he was taken into custody. Apparently, he mixed something nasty into the rice, and it ended up being a deadly meal for his wife, her kids, and even his brother-in-law.
Police found out that the leftover rice had a pesticide in it, which is used to kill rats. That’s just horrifying, right? They think he might have done it out of anger towards his wife and her children.
The local police chief mentioned that the relationship was really troubled. Francisco didn’t even talk to his wife’s kids and had some serious issues with their mom, Francisca Maria.
