A man has been arrested in Spain following the discovery of a body linked to missing Belfast man John George
Alicante: So, there’s been a pretty shocking turn of events in Spain. A man was arrested after they found a body while searching for John George, a guy from Belfast who went missing.
John, who was 37 and also went by John Hardy, was on holiday in Alicante. He last spoke to his family on December 14, and they got worried when he didn’t show up for his flight home.
His family reported him missing just a few days later. They even flew out to Spain to help look for him, which must have been so tough for them.
John’s dad, Billy, got the heartbreaking news from the Spanish police that they believed they had found his son’s body. It’s just awful.
They also arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with this case. The family is understandably distressed but also relieved that they might finally have some answers.
It’s been a really tough time for them, and they’re asking for privacy as they deal with this horrible situation. They want to thank everyone who helped in the search.
Police in Northern Ireland are working with their Spanish counterparts, trying to piece everything together. It’s a tough road ahead, but hopefully, they’ll get the justice they need.
