A 40-year-old man was arrested after a car drove into pedestrians during New Year celebrations in London, injuring two individuals.
The police jumped into action and arrested a 40-year-old guy on suspicion of dangerous driving. This all went down around 12:13 AM at Primrose Hill, right when everyone was enjoying the fireworks.
Reports say the car hit a pedestrian and then tried to speed off, hitting another person on the road. Thankfully, the injuries weren’t too serious. A 21-year-old guy got minor injuries and didn’t even need medical help.
But a 59-year-old man was taken to the hospital, and his injuries were assessed as non-life changing. The police are looking into it, but they’ve confirmed it’s not being treated as a terror-related incident.
It’s just a reminder to be careful out there, especially during big celebrations. The police had already warned folks to stay away from the area after a tragic stabbing incident last year.
