A man was arrested after police discovered a large stash of cocaine in his car boot during a routine check near the M6 services
Cheshire: So, there was this guy named Peter Wiggins who got pulled over on the M6. The police were just doing their job, checking cars, when they asked him if there was anything interesting in his boot. He casually mentioned a box back there.
When they opened it, surprise! They found 15 kilograms of cocaine, all neatly wrapped. That’s a lot of drugs, worth about £1.5 million. Wiggins was arrested right on the spot.
But it didn’t stop there. The police then searched his home in Chester and found more stuff, including cash and a knuckle duster. Wiggins didn’t say much during questioning, which is pretty suspicious, right?
He ended up pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply drugs and having an offensive weapon. The judge gave him a five-year sentence. The police are serious about tackling drug crime in Cheshire, and this case shows they mean business.
Detective Sergeant Roy Wellings made it clear that they won’t let anyone slip through the cracks when it comes to illegal drugs. Wiggins thought he could get away with it, but he was wrong.
