Newcastle: So, there’s this guy, Reece Galbraith, who’s 33, and he’s in a bit of a pickle. He’s denying he had anything to do with the tragic explosion that killed a seven-year-old boy named Archie York and a 35-year-old man, Jason Laws. This all went down in Violet Close, Benwell, on October 16.

He appeared in court via video link and also said he didn’t produce or supply cannabis, which is another charge against him. The trial is set to kick off on May 12 and is expected to last about a week.

After the explosion, six other folks ended up in the hospital, and many residents had to evacuate their homes while the area was secured.

It’s heartbreaking, really. Archie’s family shared how devastated they are, saying he’ll always be remembered through his baby brother, Finley, who looks just like him. They described Archie as small but with a heart of gold.

As for Jason, his loved ones called him the “best dad in the world.” He was pulled from the rubble, and they’re planning to bury him later this week. Such a tough time for everyone involved.
