A man has been sentenced to over five years for possessing a stash of illegal firearms in Bournemouth
The police nabbed him back on January 10, 2021, in Cumbria after getting a tip-off. They did a deep dive into some storage containers he was using at Throop Mill in Bournemouth. Turns out, they found quite the arsenal!
Among the goodies were a Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum revolver, two Glock pistols, and a Beretta Tomcat-32. They even pieced together six rifles from parts, including a Winchester Savage and a Remington Ruger. Oh, and let’s not forget the crossbow and a Cobra stun gun they found too.
After a forensic check on all the stuff they seized, Harris was charged. All those weapons and ammo? They’re getting taken away for good. Detective Constable Steven Davis from BCP CID made it clear that they take firearm incidents super seriously. He emphasized how important it is to keep the folks in Dorset safe.
He also encouraged anyone who knows about people with illegal weapons to speak up. It’s all about keeping the community safe, right?
