London: So, there was this crazy incident on Christmas Day in the West End. A guy is being questioned by the police after hitting four pedestrians with his car. It’s pretty serious, with one person in a life-threatening condition.

The police got the call around 12:45 AM about a car driving the wrong way on Shaftesbury Avenue, right in the heart of the theatre district. They acted fast and arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.

Apparently, he had been in some sort of fight at a nightclub before he jumped in his car and drove onto the pavement. Thankfully, the police confirmed it’s not linked to any terror activity, which is a relief.

When the officers arrived, they found blood and clothing scattered all over the pavement near a Caffe Concerto. Forensic teams were busy collecting evidence, including shoes and jackets.

The police cordon stretched between two major theatres, the Gielgud and Sondheim, which are home to popular shows. They even set up another cordon around the Windmill Soho nightclub and nearby spots.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stuart Cundy mentioned how quickly the officers responded and how they worked with the City of London Police to make an arrest in just minutes. They’re moving fast with the investigation, trying to piece everything together.

If anyone has more info, the police are asking them to reach out. It’s a tough situation, and they want to get to the bottom of it.
