Manchester: So, it looks like the green bins aren’t getting picked up this week. The council says it’s all because of the wintry weather messing things up.
They put out a statement on Tuesday, saying they’re really sorry for the hassle. They’re focusing on the bins that most people use instead.
Basically, they said, “Don’t put your green bins out for the rest of the week.” They want to make sure the other bins get emptied since those are used more often.
They explained that skipping the green bins helps them concentrate on the grey, black, and brown ones that everyone relies on. They’ll keep everyone updated by Friday.
If your other bins are missed, just leave them out, and they’ll come back the next day. They also reminded folks to report any missed collections by noon the next day.
