A group from South London faces serious charges after a spree of iPhone thefts at multiple Apple stores in the capital
London: So, there’s been quite a stir in South London lately. Eleven boys and one man have been charged with some serious stuff, like conspiracy to commit robbery. This all comes after they allegedly stole iPhones from 13 Apple stores over a couple of weeks.
Most of these guys are from South London, and the charges are pretty extensive. They include conspiracy to commit robbery, theft, and even drug possession. It’s a wild situation.
Among those charged, there are five boys from Lambeth, with ages ranging from 13 to 17. There’s also a 17-year-old from Bromley and a 14-year-old from Croydon involved in this mess.
They all showed up at Croydon Magistrates’ Court recently. One of the older guys, Layth Al-Darraji, who’s 18 and has no fixed address, is also facing charges related to these robberies.
The gang’s activities spanned several Apple stores, including locations at Battersea Power Station and Regent Street, between December and January. It’s been a busy time for them, to say the least.
Earlier this year, a group was caught trying to steal 50 iPhones from the Brent Cross store. They were arrested after a tip-off and have since faced additional charges.
It’s a pretty crazy story, and it’s definitely got people talking around here.
