A misconduct hearing reveals shocking jokes and videos shared by a Met inspector, raising serious concerns about his conduct and behavior.
London: So, there’s this big scandal going on with a Metropolitan Police inspector. Inspector Charles Ehikioya is in hot water for making some pretty awful jokes about Chinese people and sharing a video that mocks Katie Price’s son, Harvey.
During a misconduct hearing, it came out that he was part of a chat where all sorts of racist, sexist, and just plain inappropriate messages were flying around. It’s really shocking stuff.
Ehikioya claims these messages were either made up or wrongly attributed to him because of his race. But the evidence is pretty damning, with over 7,000 messages exchanged between 2017 and 2020 that included jokes and videos described as “disgraceful.”
One of the messages he sent was a pretty tasteless joke about Hugh Hefner, and another involved a video of someone wearing a mask of Harvey’s face while doing something really offensive. It’s just not okay.
Harvey Price, who has disabilities, was understandably upset by the whole thing. Katie Price, his mom, said she was shocked and hurt by the comments made about her son.
There were also some really sexist and racist images shared in the chat, which just adds to the whole mess. The hearing is still ongoing, and if the allegations are proven true, Ehikioya could lose his job.
It’s a tough situation, and the Metropolitan Police have already apologized to Katie Price and her family. The hearing is set to continue until January, and for now, Ehikioya is on restricted duties.
