A Middlesbrough man has been sentenced to over three years for drug dealing while on licence for a previous robbery conviction
Middlesbrough: Paul French, a 44-year-old guy, got into trouble again after being caught selling cocaine last July. He was already on licence for a robbery he committed earlier.
The court heard that he was dealing drugs on Westward Close when he was arrested. They found £120 in cash along with the drugs and some paraphernalia.
French, who lives on Addison Road, admitted to having the drugs with the intent to sell. His lawyer mentioned that he was struggling with his own drug use at the time.
After a tough breakup, he fell back into his old habits, which led him to supply drugs just to support his addiction.
The judge, Jo Kidd, wasn’t too lenient. She sentenced him to three years and two months, noting that he committed this crime while still on licence for a previous robbery.
