The Middlewich Classic Car and Bike Show needs volunteers to ensure this beloved event can go ahead safely this summer
Middlewich: The Middlewich Classic Car and Bike Show is a big deal around here. It’s been a summer favorite since 2008, drawing in car lovers and families alike.
This two-day festival happens at Harbutt’s Fields and is run by a dedicated group of locals. They work hard, and all the money raised goes to charities like St Luke’s Hospice and the Northwest Air Ambulance.
But here’s the catch: they really need more volunteers this year. The event is set for July 26 and 27, and without enough marshals, it might not happen.
Alison Roylance-White, a member of the committee, said the situation is pretty serious. If they can’t find enough help, they might have to cancel the show, which would be a real bummer.
Families and car enthusiasts from all over come to enjoy the show. Alison mentioned, “I’m really sad to say it, but we’re at risk of cancellation due to a critical shortage of volunteers.”
They’re looking for anyone who can lend a hand, even if it’s just for a few hours. It’s super important to have marshals to keep everyone safe and make sure everything runs smoothly.
And you don’t even need to be a car fanatic to help out. If you love local events and want to be part of a great community, this is for you!
They’re hosting a meeting for new volunteers at the Boars Head on Brooks Lane at 6:30 PM on March 6. Plus, they’ll have free sandwiches and chips to entice folks to join in.
Alison hopes to get at least ten volunteers. So, if you can spare some time, it would really make a difference!
