A drone search for Gracie, a missing Bosnian Dachshund, is set for January 18-19, as her owners remain hopeful after months of searching
The drone search is scheduled for January 18 and 19, depending on the weather. The pilots will also be on the lookout for other missing dogs, including one named Otis.
Michael and Gaynor haven’t given up hope, but they’re feeling a bit desperate, especially with the cold weather hitting -5C in the area.
Michael shared, “We had to wait for the leaves to fall off the trees, which has been really frustrating. We wanted to search every day, but we were told to hold off for a better chance of finding her.”
He added, “We haven’t had any new sightings lately, but with the leaves gone, we can see better in the areas where she might be.”
Four drone pilots, who helped in the earlier searches, are volunteering their time for this weekend’s effort, but they’re open to more people joining in.
Gracie was last spotted on the A44 between Wood Norton and Fladbury on November 6, and there have been sightings on Walcott Lane too.
Michael expressed his concern, saying, “We’re getting a bit desperate with the cold weather. We also heard about Otis, who’s nearby, so we’ll keep an eye out for him and any other missing dogs too.”
