A power cut in Elgin has left several homes and businesses without electricity
Elgin: So, there’s been a power cut in the town centre, and it’s causing a bit of a stir. According to the electricity network folks, SSEN, a few properties are in the dark.
They’ve got this powertrack website that shows seven postcodes are affected, hitting about nine customers. It’s not a huge number, but still a hassle for those involved.
The outage kicked off around 7:48 this morning, and they’re hoping to have everything back up and running by about 2:30 this afternoon. Fingers crossed, right?
A spokesperson mentioned that it’s due to “a fault on our network.” They’re aware of the issue and are sending engineers out to check things out. They should be arriving around 8:45 this morning.
It’s a bit odd, though. Some of your neighbors might still have power while you don’t. Apparently, it’s not unusual for one in three homes to be affected in these situations.
So, if you’re sitting there in the dark, just know that help is on the way. The engineers will dive right into figuring out what went wrong and get your power back as soon as they can.
