The show is touring the UK. It reaches Scotland in March. First, it plays Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre from March 3 to March 7. Then, it moves to Aberdeen where shows run March 24 to March 28.

The final Scottish dates are in Glasgow at the Theatre Royal. This run extends from March 31 to April 4.

Mr. Chambers plays Inspector Morse, investigating a young actress’s death. She dies onstage during a show’s performance. The inquiry gets very dark quickly.

Morse works with DS Lewis to solve the case. They find a link to Morse’s past, involving sinister events from 25 years ago.

This marks the detective’s first stage adaptation. Someone wrote the play especially for the theater.

Mr. Chambers is excited about the role. John Thaw made Morse famous in the TV show. Chambers appeared in Casualty and Holby City, and he was also in Father Brown.

Chambers says he is thrilled to play Morse, a nationally loved character. Audiences loved the murder mysteries. The play reveals parts of Morse’s life, and it should be a great night.

Simon Friend is a co-producer of the show. He thinks bringing the detective to the stage is rare. Detective stories are now very popular, and he hopes audiences will enjoy the production. This continues work with the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
